Born and raised in Sweden, Philip gained a firsthand view of manufacturing leadership through his father’s consulting work. There, he provided financial predictions to clients like Citadel, Tiger, and Point72, leveraging both primary and secondary data to forecast consumer and industrial stock performance.

Before launching Datavations full-time, Philip built his own machine learning model to predict revenues for industrial and consumer companies — achieving a sub-1% error rate across five consecutive quarters. To keep costs down, he constructed the supporting infrastructure using Raspberry Pis stored in a basement for cooling. This prototype secured initial funding for Datavations and helped him turn down acquisition offers from hedge funds in favor of building a platform that empowers Fortune 500 manufacturers to optimize their businesses with data-driven retail insights.
